Our work is rooted in thoughtful design, exceptional planting and a genuine passion for horticulture. Every garden is carefully considered, balancing beauty, practicality and the unique character of the space to create outdoor environments that continue to grow and improve over time.
Today, Green Spaces is led by Matt and Magda, combining their shared knowledge, creativity and experience to deliver bespoke gardens across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean.
Our Story
Green Spaces grew from a shared passion for garden design and a belief that the best gardens are never created—they are carefully cultivated and allowed to evolve.
Having both studied landscape design in Poland and spent more than 16 years working within the horticultural and landscaping industry, we have been fortunate to work alongside some of the UK's most respected landscaping teams, contributing to award-winning show gardens and private projects.
Those experiences shaped our approach but also reinforced something much simpler: every successful garden begins by listening. Understanding how people want to live outdoors is just as important as choosing the right plants or creating a beautiful layout.
That philosophy remains at the heart of every project we undertake today.
Meet The Team
Meet Matt
Garden Designer & Horticultural Specialist
Matt holds a Master's degree in Garden Design and has spent more than sixteen years developing his expertise in planting design and soft landscaping.
Throughout his career, he has worked for highly regarded landscaping companies, helping create numerous award-winning gardens, particularly at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival.
Plants have always been at the heart of Matt's work. His extensive horticultural knowledge influences every design, ensuring gardens are not only beautiful when completed but continue to mature and thrive for years to come.
Away from client projects, Matt has a long-standing passion for bonsai, a craft he has practised since his college days. The patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for how plants develop over time continue to inspire his approach to garden design.
Meet Magda
Landscape Designer
Magda holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and brings a wealth of creative design experience to Green Spaces.
Over the past sixteen years, she has designed private gardens for an award-winning landscaping company, combining strong design principles with practical planting knowledge. Her experience includes designing and planting gardens for the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, as well as being part of both the design and construction teams for an RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden in 2025.
Alongside her love of garden design, Magda has a passion for art and creativity. Her eye for composition, colour and detail helps shape gardens that feel balanced, personal and full of character.
